What we collect

Pingkar collects the minimum needed to run the service: your email (via Clerk), a handle you pick, posts and replies you publish, communities you join, and basic device info we get for free from your browser or phone (OS, app version). We do not sell or rent any of this.

What we store on third parties

Authentication runs through Clerk (clerk.com). Database is Neon Postgres. Uploaded photos and videos go to Vercel Blob. Each of those vendors publishes their own privacy policy covering how they handle data passed to them.

Cookies and analytics

We use a single session cookie set by Clerk to keep you signed in. We do not run third-party trackers, advertising pixels, or behavioral profiling. We log basic request metadata (IP, timestamp, route) for security and rate limiting; those logs roll off after 30 days.

Your controls

You can edit your profile, change your handle, delete posts, and delete your account from Settings → Account on the web. Account deletion removes your handle, posts, replies, reactions, and memberships. Some metadata (like audit log entries) is retained for safety and legal-compliance reasons.

Children

Pingkar is for users 13 and older. If you believe a younger user has signed up, email us atsupport@pingkar.comand we will remove the account.

Grievance redressal (India)

In accordance with the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021, Pingkar has appointed a Grievance Officer to address complaints about content on the platform.

Complaints are acknowledged within 24 hours of receipt and resolved within 15 days, in line with the Rules. Complaints involving the removal of content that exposes a person's private parts, shows them nude or semi-nude, or depicts them in sexual acts are acted on within 24 hours.

Changes

Material changes to this policy are announced in-app and via email at least 14 days before they take effect.
